Fairlawn Riverfront is a private conservation-zoned property located along the New River in the Fairlawn neighborhood of Radford, Virginia. We are the stewards of approximately 700 feet of river frontage and this recovering riparian corridor. Wildlife viewing, fishing, tubing, hiking, and peaceful riverside relaxation will fill your days here.  If you're looking for a quiet riverfront experience, beautiful sunsets, abundant wildlife, and a place to slow down and reconnect with nature, camping at Fairlawn Riverfront is for you. 

We offer a handful of spacious primitive campsites (including a couple that accommodate RVs) with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy nature. Each site has a table and chairs, a fire ring, a flat area, sun and shade, and views of the New River. Guests also have shared access to river , communal picnic tables & fire pit, footpaths, woodland play area, port-a-john, and parking.  We are handicap accessible, and the port-a-john is ADA-compliant. We have two sites where vehicles are permitted to drive into the campsite (with host approval); one site is fully wheelchair friendly.

Thanks to our ongoing efforts to "Garden for Wildlife," deer, heron, osprey, songbirds, fox, rabbits, waterfowl, and other wildlife are commonly seen throughout the property.  The property is minutes from Radford, Christiansburg, Blacksburg, as well ass Virginia Tech and Radford University, making it a convenient basecamp for exploring the New River Valley while still feeling private and secluded.  

Fairlawn Riverfront is an active conservation project where native habitat is being restored through invasive species removal, native plantings, and ongoing stewardship efforts. Every reservation helps support the continued restoration and protection of this unique stretch of the New River.
